A műsorban olyan egyházi személyek élete kerül bemutatásra, akik a kommunista diktatúra idején hűek maradtak hitükhöz, magyarságukhoz, és ezáltal megkapták a Hit Pajzsa-díjat.

A díjat 2002-ben Horváth Béla országgyűlési képviselő, valamint Gyurkovics Tibor író alapította. A díjat a kommunizmus áldozatainak emléknapja (február 25.) alkalmából adják át minden esztendőben.
