Acts 1:8 - “you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 8:1 - “On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.”

HOW DID THE STONING OF STEPHEN CHANGE THE CHURCH?

“ALL THE PEOPLE” WERE ON THEIR SIDE (2:47, 3:9-10, 5:26) THE PEOPLE WERE STIRRED UP AGAINST THE CHURCH (6:11-12)
THE APOSTLES WERE PERSECUTED (4:3, 5:18, 5:40) THE WHOLE CHURCH IS PERSECUTED (8:1-3)
THE CHURCH WAS PRIMARILY IN JERUSALEM (6:7) THE CHURCH SPREADS OUT (8:4)
DID GOD WANT THE APOSTLES REMAIN IN JERUSALEM? (8:1)
THE PLAN JESUS GAVE THEM
