AMERICAN CHRISTIAN #76
The Cross and the Dove (Pt 4)
An Unneeded Separation Occurred
Today’s episode is addressing the separation that occurred between the Cross and the Dove as well as this division seen in our own days. What keeps the separation at bay and what is exasperating it? Has the need for intellectualism and philosophies along with ecclesiastical power shifts left the Church or does is she seem more and more “mindful of the ways of men?” Also, have you ever had to defend Jesus? Think of the internet memes that have been in circulation about defending Jesus, anything come to mind? What we need in today’s church is a re-convergence of the Cross and the Dove, a much-needed repentance and baptism in the Holy Spirit will bring tremendous equipping to the saints. Our sins need to be washed away by the blood and we need to see the Holy Spirit coming in power and truth, when miracles, signs and wonders go on display, the rest is quite easy, and people want what Jesus has to offer. Let’s learn to PUSH, to pray until something happens. Lord change our heart! We close our episode with a prayer over our listeners.

We will be looking at this book and you may be finding yourself identifying with Peter as we find him in Matthew 16. Although he was a son of the Dove, Peter failed miserably in the matter of the Cross.
The stern warning that is obvious becomes a huge opportunity. Peter did not remain in the state of a floundering, uncertain son of the Dove, full of revelation one minute, and full of defeat the next. By the time of the Day of Pentecost, Peter had been through the Cross and the Resurrection. The fire fell on him, and he was ready to heal the sick, raise the dead, and preach boldly.
