Our egos have very clever and convincing arguments and reasons for us to take the comfortable route - avoiding the pursuits that we are called to. When we learn to recognize those rationalizations and the underlying beliefs fuelling them, we can make powerful and mindful choices towards more authentic paths.
POINT #1: "EGO RATIONALIZATION"
-The ego is a cunning adversary that uses very calculated reasons to avoid and move away from our most joyous endeavors. We can use the ego to examine our beliefs and transcend those nonconstructive rationalizations, getting in touch with our deepest drives.
POINT #2: "RATIONALIZE TOWARDS YOUR VALUES"
-Just as we have an autopilot voice that moves us away from our dreams and ideals, we can consciously use rationalization to bring us closer towards them. Why DOES it make sense to move towards your calling?
POINT #3: "GET BACK TO THE KID IN YOU"
-We often dismiss the voice of our inner child, feeling it's silly and not of value in the world. Our inner child can bring up feelings of inadequacy and smallness, but it also brings feelings of freedom, play, and wonder. Don't miss out on all the good stuff!
