Eps 062 - Bountiful Boundaries for the Holidays with Monique Garsaud

My guest on this episode is Monique Garsaud. Monique has a story that many of us can relate to. She went to law school thinking that the way to happiness was to be a driven and independent woman with a financially successful career. But deep down, a still inner voice told her that being a successful lawyer was not her soul’s path.

At first, Monique ignored the voice and believed if she pushed herself hard enough, everything would fall into place, and the voice would fall silent. This did not work and Monique became extremely ill and bedridden for several years. Many things she treasured, like her home, her finances, relationships, and independence, disappeared. The only thing that remained was the still voice wanting to be set free.

As Monique began to peel back the layers of how and why she got sick, her healing abilities emerged. She became a certified energy healer, reiki master, and certified life coach. Today, she is a boundaries coach and works with people at a crossroads, and helps them live life on their own terms. To be their authentic selves without apology, guilt, or explanation. To live from a place of joy and freedom, not from others’ expectations.

In this interview, we talk all about boundaries: What are they? How can we set and communicate our boundaries? How can we maintain them? How can we deal with the expectations of the holidays?
