Hello my friend!
Christmas & the Holidays can intensify our struggles and trigger grief. Finding gratitude within the season for the little things that bring joy, peace and hope, even through our struggle is the Holy Grail for the season.
Adam Grant in his Ted Talk mentions and encourages us not to shoot for mile long gratitude list--because if we don't have a zillion things to be grateful for, it will feel like it's never enough! Cue the sound track from The Greatest Showman! "Never Enough"
But a more productive and soul-fulfilling way is to find 3 things are you actually genuinely grateful for, and press into those gifts with gratitude. It's never about more things to be grateful for, it's about the quality of things we are actually grateful for. :)

Also, holy moly Andrew Garfield and his beautiful quote on grief:
Andrew Garfield “Grief is all the unexpressed love.”
Here's a few thoughts to help us navigate the sadness that comes up this season:
-Expect it, and give space and room in your heart and mind to experience it. Sadness is not our enemy.
-Self Care, you have permission to take care of your heart and mind. Find things to nourish to your heart. And it will help you not be a grump to those around you. ;)
-Permission to enjoy what you do have. Jesus is with you, He adores you and He will get you through this.
Much love,
Dani
