Feeding the Easy-Keeping Horse

The term "easy" or "hard" keeper is used quite frequently by horse owners. Thus, in this week's podcast we focus solely on the easy keeper and what this means to you. Easy keepers are generally those horses that can put weight on easily. We do discuss this more in depth and how you can tell if your horse is an easy keeper. We then talk about what horse types and breeds are generally considered easy keepers. Then we give some tips on how best to feed your easy keeper and what some concerns may be with these types of horses. As a follow up, in next week's podcast we will be focusing on feeding the hard keeper.
