Ep. 116 | Why it’s Hard to Hold Loosely to Our Kids BUT Why We NEED to -- Letting Go is Hard
Hey Winner,
Do you have older kids at home, embarking on the teen years or in the midst of their teens? You may notice your kids fighting for more independence wanting to be let off that leash that we hold so tightly. I am feeling that right now, and, mama, it is so hard to let go! How do we hold them loosely so that when it's time, we can release them out into the world knowing they are ready to embrace it!
I'm not an expert on this topic, I'm actually just learning as I go, so I'm coming from the perspective of what I'm trying. I'm in the trenches still trying hard to be okay with letting go of the reigns and allowing my children to make mistakes and grow.
We'll talk about why it's hard to hold loosely to our kids, why it's hard to let our children make mistakes, and why we need to both hold loosely and allow them the freedom to mess up - so we can correct under our own roof.
Rooting for you ~ Gabe
