Danielle Ripley-Burgess is a two-time colorectal cancer survivor first diagnosed at age 17. She is part of the growing community of early-onset survivors facing the disease well before age 50.
Danielle joined Fight CRC as an advocate in 2012 and has been part of the Fight CRC family ever since. She served as Fight CRC's first Director of Communications for five years. Today, she brings strategic communications and public relations support to the team. She's also the Editor-in-Chief of Beyond Blue. Alongside Fight CRC, she has helped lead award-winning campaigns and projects that have secured national media coverage, built partnerships with strategic partners, and reached millions of people during March–Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.
Danielle's personal story has been told around the world in outlets like The Today Show, BBC’s World Have Your Say, Sirius Radio’s Doctor Radio, The Chicago Tribune, among others. Danielle's a published author, blogger and columnist for Cure Magazine. She resides in the Kansas City area with her husband and daughter.
