Dr. Lee Hwok-Aun - Inequality’s Iniquities, In Malaysia and Elsewhere
Dr. Lee Hwok-Aun is the author of “Affirmative Action in Malaysia and South Africa: Preference for Parity”, published in 2021 by Routledge and of numerous articles, in academic and media publications, on affirmative action, inequality, discrimination, social protection, labour and education.
He is a Senior Fellow and Co-coordinator of the Malaysia Studies Programme at the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute, and a PhD holder in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Inequality forms a key tenet of his work, a subject on which he has studied and written academic papers on since the early 90s.
