“And in the morning you shall see the glory of the LORD,
because he has heard your grumbling against the LORD.” —Exodus 16:7
Scene 1: Grumbling and the Gracious Provision of Water | Exodus 15:22–27
Scene 2: Grumbling and the Glorious/Gracious Provision of Bread | Exodus 16:1–21
All along this Exodus journey, God did what he did for his glory. If we take away nothing else from our study of this book, let it be that the LORD our Redeemer does all things for the ultimate praise of his glory. He saved them for his glory and he saves us for his glory! And all along our faith journey, we see glimpses of his glory. When he lovingly cares for us in times of grief and sadness, when we are in danger and call out for rescue, when we feel our faith will fail and we call out for him to hold us fast … in each ordinary and extraordinary providence of your life, see his sovereign hand at work and give him the glory!
