This week on the Reel Show, it’s another episode of the video game themed month, and the Reel Guys are looking back into Star Wars BattleFront 2 for ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ - Kenobi is an upcoming new television miniseries created for the streaming service Disney+, featuring the Star Wars character of the same name. Set ten years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005), the series is directed by Deborah Chow, with Joby Harold serving as showrunner. Ewan McGregor is executive producer and stars as the title character, reprising his role from the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Hayden Christensen, Joel Edgerton, and Bonnie Piesse also reprise their roles from the prequel trilogy. The project originated as a spin-off film to be written by Hossein Amini and directed by Stephen Daldry, but it was reworked as a limited series by Amini. McGregor was confirmed to be starring in August 2019, and Chow was hired to direct a month later. Obi-Wan Kenobi is scheduled to premiere on May 25, 2022, and will consist of six episodes.
