40. Reality Recognized is Where Truth Hides!

Admitting your truth first in the reality will lead you to the character's truth in the fiction. 

I got to work, to ACT in class and I loved it. And of course whenever I get to ACT I am always thinking of the teachings from The Actors Studio and of Ellen Burstyn one of the greatest actresses I was privileged to be on the stage with and learn from.

Teaching usually for me is sharing and putting in practice that which I ask of the students. I make a fool of myself to give them permission to do so, also. And they teach me so much in return. We had the opportunity to work with Adam a great actor and each of the students from class got to play opposite/and with him. I did also and was blown away by the recognition and reminder and the importance of being and speaking out what is, as the thoughts and observations are yours first, of the reality, the classroom in this example, to then move on and continue to find the truth, of the character, even more so, your truth admitted will lead to the character's truth and keep you on it. It was out of this world, to give yourself permission to be you all of you and know it is welcomed and appreciated by the audience, be it in class, on set, on stage and on location.  Admitting your truth first will lead you to the character's truth. Period.
