As the summer months approach us, we can begin to hear a lot of diet culture talk and feel pressure to live up to a certain body standard. With the weather getting hotter, people are opting to wear less clothing which is great - but can feel daunting for those of us who think we need to attain a certain body image standard to feel our best and live our best life. These limiting beliefs are hard to let go of, but my guest today has some great advice!
In today’s episode, I’m joined by Kathryn Benko, a former coaching client of mine who is also a fitness coach and personal trainer.
During our conversation, Kathryn talks about her struggles with trying to show up authentically online. She shares her own experience with body image from her early 20’s to now, how weight loss relates to your identity and finally we talk about season 2 of Bridgeton which is amazing!
In this episode, we cover:
- Our approach to social media and authenticity [3:32]
- Empowering women to just be who they are [7:05]
- The dialogue around weight loss [11:24]
- Making room for personal growth [21:29]
- Bridgerton Season 2 (spoilers) [27:34]
