Some of the most healing experiences I have had in my life have been in a circle with women. Did I choose my first circle willingly? Nope! I honestly don't think I would have gone into that kind of work willingly. I had the belief that I had to do it all alone. Women throughout the course of history have gathered and supported each other in collaboration, connection and community. After the rise of the patriarchy, we were isolated, disconnected and alone. This created a sister wound or a woman's wound. Incredible healing can take place when we can sit with each other, see and be seen, hear and be heard, without anyone trying to alter or change the way that we feel. This is what sisterhood has meant for me. Join me, Melanie Dawn, as I welcome Terra Dawn Allison and Shelley Duret to share with us their experience in a Sisterhood.
