Frank Jæger boede i Tranekær og havde sin daglige gang netop her i Tranekær på Langeland i 16 år fra 1954-1970. Flere af hans værker har også henvisninger til og tager udgangspunkt i naturen omkring Tranekær og lokalområdet.
