About Liz Choonara
Liz Choonara leads the Enterprise & Innovation team at Crisis the national charity for homelessness and is responsible for its commercial activities. In 2020, she founded the Venture Studio from Crisis with colleagues to accelerate an end to homelessness through entrepreneurship.
The Venture Studio invests, builds, grows startups that can support its mission and give grants to people experiencing homelessness to startup businesses. She previously worked with deep tech and science startups at Imperial College London. Whilst there she founded its successful women's entrepreneurship programme WE Innovate and has spoken increasing diversity and inclusion in tech internationally.
