When an employee agrees to work for your organization, they are trusting you with their career even if you don’t acknowledge that fact. Unfortunately, within the hiring process, we often underestimate the level of trust that employees place in us. Unfortunately, we violate the trust based on how we treat candidates during the hiring process, and we further break it when they are employees.
