We like to cover musical genres from time to time but we've never really covered a movement within a genre. This week we do just that as we explore the "Straight Edge Movement" that popped up within the D.C. Hardcore scene that would develop into a militant-cult-like following in the 90's (for some) and a life changing social justice launching pad for others. SUPER interesting topic!
Anyways to hear more you'll just have to listen. I included a couple of samples that book ended this episode by Ian Mackaye (The Godfather of the movement) as a reference for some of things that were discussed to have a reference to wtf we're talking about. Plus....he talks better than us too lol.
