Everyday Happiness - Finding Harmony and Bliss
Education:Self-Improvement
It can be tempting to say, "I'll be happy when..." However, that translates to excusing unhappy tendencies now. Rather, choose to be happy in the present. Learn how in this episode!
Transcript:
Welcome to Everyday Happiness where we create lasting happiness, in about 2 minutes a day, through my signature method of Intentional Margins® (creating harmony between your to-dos and your priorities), happiness science, and musings about life.
I'm your host Katie Jefcoat and what we know is that gratitude hard wires you to be happy now.
So, I’m asking you:
Are you depending on something else for your happiness?
When you get that job?
When you have more money in the bank account?
When, when, when …..
If you place your happiness on something else, someone else, it’s hard to find happiness.
I invite you to ask yourself, how are you in control of your happiness? It comes from within.
it’s not these things that you think make you happy, it’s your choice to be grateful for them that is what makes you happy.
When you choose to focus on gratitude, you have less space and room for negativity in your brain.
When you are happy, you attract healthier happier people in your life.
So today, ask yourself, what are you grateful for, what are you happy with right now? Pick anything, perhaps the sun is shining, or you enjoyed a cup of coffee, just start somewhere.
