Episode 53: Clare Family Resource Centre & Creche – The growth journey of Ireland’s first community creche
The Clare Family Resource Centre & Creche was founded in 1996 as the first community creche in Ireland.
The centre was founded on a vision to help lone parents back into the workforce by providing an affordable childcare service for the wider Ennis community.
Today, the centre caters for 150 children in Ennis, Co. Clare and has been a huge success in providing accessible, affordable, high quality childcare as well as employment opportunities for early years workers in the region.
In this week’s episode of AIBF Business Talk, Elaine caught up with Maureen Keane, manager of the Clare Family Resource Centre & Creche, to discuss how valuable the centre has been to its community.
Maureen also shares her insights on how childcare in Ireland can be improved to benefit childcare providers and parents alike.
The AIBF is delighted to support and endorse the fantastic work being done by the Clare Family Resource Centre & Creche.
