EU countries need to cooperate much more when it comes to improving the bloc’s capacity to deal with major health issues such as the Covid pandemic. That’s according to Fine Gael MEP Deirdre Clune who was speaking in the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
MEPs voted this week voted to strengthen the EU’s capacity to prevent and control communicable diseases. They also agreed to a series of measures that will allow the EU to better anticipate and respond to serious cross-border health threats.
