We might think that happiness is a universal, pleasurable emotion that comes naturally, but happiness looks different for each and every person and requires a specific environment to occur. Research has found that creating positive habits can improve both physical and psychological benefits, so, building a new habit could be a way to foster the right environment for your happiness. But how can we build long-lasting habits, how are habits and happiness linked, and what kind of habits should we cultivate?
In this episode of Sero Boost: The Happiness Science Insights Podcast, host Lu Ngo is joined by the Dr. Happy, Dr. Tim Sharp. Dr. Tim is the founder & CHO (Chief Happiness Officer) of The Happiness Institute, Australia’s first organization devoted solely to enhancing happiness in individuals, families and organizations. His primary areas of interest include enhancing positive organizational culture, as well as promoting healthy discussions around mental health in the workplace. Dr. Tim is also the bestselling author of multiple books and most recently, a series of Audible Original audiobooks including Habits for Happiness and Habits for Happiness at Work.
Dr. Tim will share which habits have contributed to his personal growth and have led him to happiness. He believes that building positive habits could help him to live longer, happier, and healthier. He also shares insight on how to grow a new habit and how to make it a daily routine.
