How you view yourself will impact how you view and love others.
Too often, we can have a wrong view of who God is and we we are, which will affect how we relate to others.
This impacts how we fulfill the greatest Commandment.
In Matthew 22:37-39 “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
In John 13:34, Jesus said, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.”
My husband, Fred Snyder and I discuss the importance of receiving God’s love and to know your identity in Christ, so you can love others well.
In order to love your neighbor as yourself, you need to love yourself. You need to see yourself the way the Lord see you, through His redemption.
Jesus came to heal the broken hearted and set people free from bondage like guilt, shame and condemnation. Jesus wants us to take His yoke upon Him and experience His Light, Life and Love.
In having a deep, personal relationship with Jesus, and aligning our beliefs to Truth, we begin a process of being conformed into the image of Jesus Christ.
Spiritual maturity and emotional maturity are inseparable. We are to be self-aware, not self-condemning. The enemy is the voice of the accuser and there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)
