The Seattle Turkish Film Festival reaches their 10th anniversary!
To celebrate it features some of the best contemporary Turkish Films.
Today, we talked to the festival director Sirin Aysan and Cem kaya a documentary director, both let us know about the industry, obstacles, and positive aspects in addition of how proud are to share their culture with others.
The gem of this festival is "Love, Deutschmarks and Death" a documentary essay, by director Cem Kaya takes his viewers into a dazzling universe of musical diversity. In a cinematic experience of the highest sound quality, he brings the energy and spirit of those years to life.
Beside to be the festival director, Sirin Aysan is a television producer and filmmaker. She has produced acclaimed series and specials for major broadcasters and streaming platforms. Sirin has covered stories around the globe and is the recipient of the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for her work on “Child Brides” for PBS. The television programs she has directed have been nominated for Emmy, Prism, and Telly awards. As a film lover, she is very excited and honored to be a part of ever-growing Seattle Turkish Film Festival.
We will welcome to learn more about the Seattle Turkish Film Festival and discover more about the rhythmic and vividly narrated cinematic encyclopedia of Turkish music in Germany.
The film festival is a non-profit, volunteer-driven event, committed to bringing the best of Turkish films to Seattle to provide an international platform for talented filmmakers working in both short and feature length formats to showcase their work.
And it's welcome by Washington State Governor Jay Inslee invited everybody to celebrate Seattle Turkish Film Festival with a Proclamation.
