In writing her book, "Coalfield Jews: An Appalachian History," Dr. Weiner focuses on smaller communities within Appalachia and the misconceptions some have about the diversity of the region. Take a listen as she describes identify formation among the Jewish community within these small towns and the reason for migrating there in the first place.
