Toria Bono is a primary school teacher as well as the creator of Tiny Voices Talk, initially a Twitter # encouraging teachers to share their wealth of expertise in a supportive and positive social platform. This has somewhat expanded and now Toria hosts a regular podcast, has a website and has recently published a book all under the Tiny Voices Talk umbrella.
Toria is a teacher who is passionate about giving children the very best learning experiences that she can. She is also a coach holding a Level 5 Diploma in Coaching.
Toria has a breadth and wealth of experience – from class teacher to school leader and currently work at a large junior school in the South East of England, teaching Year 4 full-time as well as being the Coaching Lead, one of the English Champions and being involved in many working parties to improve teaching across the school.
In June 2020, Toria was made a Fellow by the Chartered College of Teaching.
In this episode Catherine Carden chats to Toria about the joy of teaching, the value and importance of learning from one another and, of course how Tiny Voices Talk came about and reasons why Toria wanted to launch such a space.
This is an ideal podcast for anyone working in education.
