God‘s Plan for Healing our Loneliness-Part 2 - This week, Peter and Leslie continue to address the "front-page news" concerning the epidemic of loneliness in America. Loneliness produces mental and emotional problems and even physical problems of heart disease, strokes, dementia, and early death! In the early 1980s, Mother Teresa pointed out that every nation and every culture had its poorest of the poor. She said that in America, this poverty was loneliness! How prophetic she was. Unfortunately, this poverty of loneliness affects not only those in the culture but also those in our Church. This week we continue to look at the Lord’s antidote for loneliness and social isolation. Both in the Gospels with Jesus, and then in the Acts of the Apostles, we see that the early Christians met together, both in the temple and house to house. This broadcast will help the listeners see the importance of small groups, and the importance of having friends that we regularly meet with to share lives together. Bringing this dimension into each of our lives, becomes a life changer!
