Solomon writes a song about the intimacy in marriage. The lyrics of this "book" are erotic but not pornographic. Instead it tells of two lovers who express deep respect for one another in a mutually exclusive relationship. Neither the man [Solomon] nor the woman [the Shulamite] is embarrassed about the desire for sexual expression with the other (1:2, 4; 7:8-9). Such does not surprise the one who knows God's will for a man and a woman in holy matrimony. Take a listen!
