Should Ireland have more religious ethos schools?

On Monday it was revealed that the Islamic Foundation of Ireland applied for patronage for Ireland's first Muslim post-primary school. Some people came out against the application saying Ireland does not need more religious based schools claiming it segregates students.

Others however believed it is fair as over 90% of schools in Ireland are Catholic.
