Tiziano "Z" Muldanado and his Brother Lou are two associates for the Valtieri crime family on the Colony World of Haven. After finding a strange artifact on a backwater planet, they hatch a scheme to finally become made men.

Additionally, the song "La donna e mobile" from Giuseppe Verdi's Opera "Rigoletto" was rearranged for use in diegetic music during a scene in the Part 1.
