From Corporate Captivity to Thriving Entrepreneurship: How I Built Multiple Profitable Businesses During the Pandemic and Achieved True Financial Freedom
I am a serial entrepreneur. I am a proud survivor of an abusive relationship with corporate America.
And over the last 15 years, I have built multiple businesses. A couple since the pandemic, though, that I've done particularly well. So I'm an entrepreneur in lots of different verticals, lots of different spaces, mostly focused on passive income and cash flow. Those are my favorite favorite things. Well, what exactly do you like? Okay, passive income is good. I want to touch upon that.
And cash flow is obviously very important. I think it's more important than almost anything I can do. Yeah, so I love that. But you know. So what exactly is the business that that you're in? Like what? Everything. So first business that I built is in the financial services space. It was traditional brick and mortar, but I bootstrapped that one completely from the ground up.
So no advertising dollars whatsoever and built that to 17 different locations. So 47 agents in 17 different states. And that was really excellent, really awesome and super fun to play around in that post. 12 and eight play in that playground. But after the pandemic hit, we had some shifts. We had to do some major shifts to bring all of that online and the things that I learned through that process helped me to create a an efficiency agency.
So now what I help other business owners do is take their current systems and make them more efficient. So some of that has to do with branding. So a branding agency, that's a lot of it is communication over digital space that's really, really important in a post-pandemic world, whether or not people know what you do and can figure out what you do.
So there's that branding agency. But then also we have an efficiency agency where we look at systems that current business owners have in place and see where we can add in automation and A.I. so that it requires less effort from them. Gotcha. Okay, so you got two things on the go. What happened to the original business? So let's still go in that.
And that's where it's like super passive, super passive income. It's really nice. It still runs it takes about 2 to 4 hours a week of my upper level attention. So like really 30,000 foot view. But we have so many fantastic people in place that run the day to day operations and things like that. And my husband my husband is kind of more in charge of that one that says that's his baby, that first business love.
And he can just operate the personnel, which is his preference anyway is is to operate that way. And me, in the more creative space I like to solve, I like to solve problems, I like to solve puzzles. I think that's kind of why I ended up in financial services to a certain degree. It's everybody had this money puzzle, great, and everyone's was a little bit different and everyone was a little bit nuanced.
So it was a new challenge every day. It was new and exciting stuff all the time, new people. And now I just do that in a different way. I do that for business owners, so that they can experience either more time freedom or a higher revenue point with the exact same effort that they're putting in now. Right now, I want to touch upon the financial thing still in the way that because you were brick and mortar until the pandemic hit, you said right then you went virtual.
