Jaakko Rahja ja Open Doorsin Miika Auvinen keskustelevat kristittyjen tilanteesta Saudi-Arabiassa, joka on WWL23-vainoraportin sijalla 13.

 

Saudi-Arabia on vahvasti islamilainen valtio, eikä siellä voi harjoittaa avoimesti muita uskontoja. Millään kristillisellä kirkkokunnalla ei voi olla virallista seurakuntaa. Saudi-Arabia onkin yksi harvoista maista, joissa kirkkorakennukset ovat kiellettyjä.

Enemmistö Saudi-Arabian kristityistä on aasialaisia ja afrikkalaisia siirtotyöläisiä. Heitä riistetään, heille maksetaan huonosti, ja he kohtaavat syrjintää etnisen taustansa mutta myös uskonsa vuoksi.
