In this episode of our Pathways and Politics series we interview Labour MP Naisi Chen about her pathways in life and faith, and her work in Parliament.
Naisi is the only MP of Chinese ethnicity currently in Parliament as well as being one of the youngest MPs. Describing herself as of the “1.5 Generation” she reflects on her identity as someone who came to Aotearoa New Zealand from China with her family as a young child, and her hopes to make sure that everyone has a voice in politics in this country.
This interview is part of our 8-part series where we interview 8 current MP's about their faith, backgrounds, politics and key issues for Election 2023.
