Tough End-of-Life Cases: How to Take Care of Your Team with Kathleen Cooney, DVM, MS, CHPV, CCFP
In her second appearance on Central Line, Kathleen Cooney, DVM, MS, CHPV, CCFP, founder and director of education for the Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy (CAETA), goes in-depth on how we can help protect our fellow veterinary team members’ emotional health and wellbeing before, during, and after euthanasias. She weighs in on technicians performing euthanasia and how best to support those team members who never seem to be affected – are they really fine?
Dr. Cooney was instrumental in creating AAHA's End-of-Life Care Accreditation and was on the task force that created the 2016 AAHA/IAAHPC End-of-Life Care Guidelines.
Coming in fall 2023 to AAHA Learning: the newly revised and updated Hospice and Palliative Care Certificate Program created by CAETA and Dr. Cooney!
