Day 209: 2nd Kings 19, Psalms 46, 80 and 135

Today on Meditating the Word, Hezekiah consults Isaiah, Sennacherib's mockery, Hazekiah's prayer and Sennacherib's defeat and death. God's defense of his city and people, God's appeal to stubborn Israel and praise for God's goodness and might.

This is Day 209. Today we are reading 2nd Kings 19, and praying Psalms 46, 80 and 135

Father God, You are our refuge and strength. You are present to help us in trouble. No matter what changes are going on in the earth, we won't be afraid -- even if the mountains crumble into the sea. We will not be moved. In the midst of chaos, we simply enter into the stillness of Your presence. You revive us, and we exalt You, Father, and we praise you. Amen
