In our last episode, Doc's business partner and wife, Amy, explored the connections between nutrition and neuroscience. In this episode, Doc interviews his daughter, Dr. Kate Wierenga, a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands. Tother, they explore the causes and effects of inflammation in the body, how that shifts the nervous system into the sympathetic state, and the underlying chemistry of our red blood cells.
