Mat 24:31 “And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”
Matthew 24:31 “and he shall send his messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens unto the ends thereof.”
Above are two different translations of Matthew 24:31 the King James Version and the Young's Literal Version. I want us to key into the sound of the trumpet. Where do you see in the scripture the trumpet and the gathering of the elect. Well one place would be Mt. Sinai when Israel was gathered to the Mount, and gathered to God who came down on the Mount and gave the law and the instructions of the Temple.
In the New Testament we find the voice of the trumpet in Revelation Chapter 1. John here's a voice as a trumpet and he turns to see the voice. This trumpet voice is the voice of the Son of God that John here's. I believe the messengers who are sounding the trumpet are the Apostles, and the elect were all those gathered unto Christ in Jerusalem before its destruction in 70 AD. They went through the land sounding the trumpet, declaring the Gospel of Jesus Christ and then the end of the Old Covenant that had ended at the Cross was manifested on the earth in God taking it away. Glory to God.
I believe we are gathered unto Christ in this same voice today. Gathered out of nations unto the Lord Himself to be His Body. We like John are to turn and see this VOICE. This seeing is Jesus Christ being revealed in you by the Holy Spirit of God. "He shall take of mine and show it unto you."
