Fears around your body changing, fears about how you might cope with unpredictable eating events, fear about what might happen if you don’t do a certain number of steps or weigh out your food.

When you have an eating disorder, you are often trying to find a sense of control. Life feels unpredictable, scary and overwhelming. Control of your body or portions or macros or grams give a feeling of safety and certainty – at least temporarily. 

But fundamentally, this doesn't work. Life becomes rigid and anxiety ridden. You end up feeling more out of control than ever.
