Job Growth Flat, 529 Plan Rollovers, and a Proposed Rule on Overtime

Although job growth has slowed for a sixth consecutive month, North Carolina continues to be the place to find work, overtaking Texas for the top spot, according to the Paychex | IHS Markit Small Business Employment Watch. On the other side of the job market — schooling — Gene Marks says that the benefits provided in SECURE 2.0 to roll leftover 529 plan funds into a Roth IRA without penalty are key and businesses should consider providing 529s to employees.
