December 8, 2022: Michigan State returns home after a successful trip to Happy Valley with a quick turnaround again but this time their opponent won't have a rest advantage. The Brown Bears of the Ivy League visit on Saturday coming off a tight one point win over in-state rival, Rhode Island and carry a five game winning streak into the Breslin. Led by MSU assistant coach Doug Wojcik's son, Paxson, the Brown Bears will look to pull off an upset over the Spartans.
Despite MSU being a 16 point favorite, there is a lot for the Spartans to work on in this game. They will need to carry over their solid defense and improved play from AJ Hoggard to win this game in a comfortable fashion. But rest assured, MSU will be tested by a Brown team that can score from behind the arc and leads the nation in defensive rebounding allowing only an 18.9% offensive rebounding percentage from opponents. Mercifully, after this game MSU will have 11 days rest before their next game.
