GUEST OVERVIEW: Michael Swifte is a self described generalist and a life long idealist. In 2010 he moved into public advocacy by using social media as a launching point. In 2014 after witnessing the takeover of the anti-fracking movement by American funded NGOs he launched his first environmental blog We Suspect Silence which was noticed by environmental writer and activist Cory Morningstar. In 2015 he became part of the Wrong Kind of Green critical thinking collective. He writes on a broad range of environment related issues and specialises in analysis of the political will for new energy development, and the capture of environmentalism by billionaires and impact philanthropists.
