Influencers on YouTube seem to have it all together - it's a constant and never-ending care for branding and image. What kind of influence would you have if your YouTube channel was nothing but a laundry list of failures? Paul, in his letter to a young Pastor Timothy, is quick to point out his failures, his weakness, his very storied past. Why? Paul knows that influence is not about perfection, but about helping people see one's progress and growth through the work and mercy of Christ Jesus. We're all on a journey toward Christ-likeness and our influence with others will be best received when we present ourselves as those “still in process” on that journey.
