Mark 7:1-23, The King’s Charge

 

Too often, the Gospel of Mark is seen as merely a breviary of the other Gospels. Such a view misses Mark's objective. With precision and calculated design, Mark wrote his Gospel to establish faith and deepen discipleship. He's on a sprint to the cross where the heart of being a disciple of Jesus is understood. Along the way, he's calling us to come and discover what it means to live an authentic Christian life.
