200 // Starting BIG or starting small: which decluttering strategy is best for you?
Ready to DECLUTTER but you don't know where to start?
Have you tried decluttering but haven't felt very successful? Do you wonder if you should empty out an entire room or start small and go item by item?
In this episode we're talking about different strategies for decluttering. I give three examples of decluttering in a BIG way...like you want the stuff gone and you want it gone NOW kind of way.
1. KonMari Method
2. Swedish Death Cleaning
3. Clean Sweep
I also share five ways you can declutter with a more gentle approach. These strategies are great if you are gradually building up momentum or in a phase of maintaining a big purge recently completed.
1. Round Robin Method
2. 12 - 12 - 12
3. 5 Item Rule
4. Domino Method
5. 30 Day Minimalism Game or 30 Day Declutter Challenge
Try one, try them all, but no matter which method you choose get accountability. Tell a buddy what your goals are, what your vision for you home is and ask them to check in with you. Need us to do it? We're BEYOND HAPPY to do that. Join the Facebook Community and post your goals, your method, even your clutter trigger (listen to Ep. 198 to know what that is) there and we'll check in with your progress!! https://bit.ly/design101group
