Kelly has been maintaining a rigorous training schedule, focusing on long runs during weekends, a few interval sessions per week, and some easy runs for recovery. She emphasises the importance of sticking to the plan laid out by her coach, even though she occasionally bends the rules.
A significant part of Kelly's training strategy is the convenience and efficiency provided by her smartwatch, which helps her stay on track without having to overthink her workouts. This approach allows her to focus more on the running itself rather than the logistics of training.
Kelly discusses her experiences and preferences with regard to nutrition and hydration during long runs. She's been experimenting with different food options to find what works best for her, emphasising the importance of fueling adequately for endurance events.
As the holiday season approaches, Kelly talks about managing her training amidst festive commitments. She plans to continue her early morning runs, a routine that helps her stay consistent with her training while balancing other aspects of her life.
