Joseph: Father to God, Model for Us (Matthew 1:18-25)

• Holy & Righteous 
  • People think focus means saying yes to the thing 
    you've got to focus on. But that's not what it means 
    at all. It means saying no to the hundred other good 
    ideas that there are. You have to pick carefully. I'm 
    actually as proud of the things we haven't done as 
    the things we have done. Innovation is saying no to

• Compassionate & Empathetic (1:19)
• Sensitive to God's word (1:20, 2:12-13, 2:19, 2:22)
• Surrendered his will to God (1:24, 2:13-14, 2:21)
• Knew he needed a savior (1:21-25)
