SPENDING TIME IN THE WORD WITH THE WORD OF LIFE

Matthew 20:33 says They said to Him, “Lord, we want our eyes to be opened.”  God fed the Israelites with the food that came down from Heaven.  Jesus said He was the bread that came down from Heaven (John 6). This manna was the only food they had for the 40 years of wilderness wandering.  Christ is the only (spiritual) food we need during our earthly “wilderness wandering” on the way to the promised land (heaven). Nothing else satisfies, nothing else gives spiritual strength and life. It also represents his humiliation as His body was shattered before and after He was put on the cross.  He gave His flesh that we might have life and we remember that each time we celebrate the Lord’s supper. They went out early to get it as we need to feast on Jesus’ word and Spirit before our day starts. Let us start each day with time in the Word and with the WORD OF LIFE.

 

Mark 8:36 "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?

             John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Have you trusted Him as your Savior? He can Save you if You ask Him based on His death, burial, and resurrection for your sins. Believe in Him for forgiveness of your sins today.

              “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  -John 8:32
