Opinions of a Russian Speaking American
Technology
In my youth, I worked as a treaty interpreter, interpreting activities during the conduct of inspections carried out under the terms of the INF (Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces) and Nuclear threshold test-ban treaties. I thought the collapse of the Soviet Union was a great opportunity for the western world to expand and to establish friendship and commercial ties with Russia and the eastern bloc countries. Throughout the thirty years since the collapse, our fearless western leaders have squandered this opportunity. So I want to address the Russian and Ukrainian peoples directly and let them know that 'we the people' of America are not their enemies, in spite of the biased opinions of our so-called experts and the resulting misguided activities and decisions of our fearless leaders.
