Season 13 Episode 10: A Life Coach's Journey of Overcoming Hardships and Empowering Others
Life is a journey full of obstacles, and overcoming hardship is often how people find their actual power and potential. Kelli Watson is a great person who turned her personal struggles into a source of inspiration for others. Her story serves as an example of this. Kelli's path from a point of personal suffering to that of a prosperous author and life coach is proof of the strength of self-discovery, resilience, and the desire to help others.
Kelli started working as a personal trainer in 2007 and developed an interest in personal development in 2009 after enrolling in Todd Durkin's sports performance course. After enrolling in Todd's mastermind group in 2009, she launched Studio 8, a fitness studio, with their guidance in just four months. In 2012, she attained mastermind coach status. She was a coach to coaches, not just an author but also a publisher who helps people become authors, had a master's in counseling. Kelli used exercises like writing down what clients do and don't want while physically embodying those sentiments to incorporate life coaching and personal growth into her fitness routines at Studio 8. This produced breakthroughs by approaching clients holistically. The studio prioritized giving back to the community.
To be a successful life coach, one must have empathy, compassion, and the capacity to listen to others without passing judgment. Coaches don't offer counsel; instead, they pose questions to help clients get clarity because they already know the answers. Having self-published more than a dozen books, Kelli Justice co-founded Scripture Publishing in 2017 to assist other authors in releasing their works. Since its quick growth, it has assisted in the publication of over 260 books in various genres. Kelli shut down her studio so she could devote all of her attention to making writers' dreams come true.
